I can remember when I came to Terri for a trial visit. She told me to do push ups. I looked at her as if she had two heads. My response, "The girl kind"? And that’s exactly what I attempted. (I got winded after the fifth push up). Terri, in her direct and determined way said "by the time I’m done with you, you will be doing 100 push-ups". Yeah right was all I could say.

I’m not completely out of shape, however I do need a push to get out there and keep it consistent. I initially wanted assistance with training for a marathon. With Terri I have come to accept that I could take my work out further. She provides the confidence for you to believe and know that you can be more. I look forward to our meetings and the valuable information I walk away with after each visit. Not only is she an AMAZING trainer but her life experiences and the advice she gives has helped me draw dramatic yet important conclusions concerningmy life.

As a 25 year old girl, I started working out with Terri for the wrong reasons. I was sure that the mirror reflected an image that most people did not see. After 20 sessions training with Terri, I have noticed major changes in my body and my self confidence. I had always been a strong cardio athlete, but I never practiced strength training. When I began, I could barely do one pushup. Now I can do 20 in a row! I am stronger everywhere and have lost inches all over my body.

Working out with Terri motivated me to continue on my own in the same intensity. I must say that it was wonderful becoming friends with her and having her push me to the ultimate limit during our sessions. I look forward to working with her again!

I was an athlete in college and am still a gym rat now even though I’m logging long hours on Wall Street. Despite all that, the workouts Terri put together for me were completely new and innovative and always challenging.

I’ve been working out with Terri since Oct. 2005. Our workouts over the last 3 months have been both physically intense and extremely educational. I started having serious problems with my knees towards the end of the summer due to too much running. After resting them for a few weeks, I found that not only had I put on a quick 15 pounds, I had lost motivation to work out altogether.

I learned about Terri on Citysearch and decided to give her a call. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious and critical to getting me back on track and working out regularly again. I normally don’t get up before 8, even for meetings at work. But somehow, every week, Terri had me in her studio doing pushups at 6:30AM!

To be completely honest, as much as she pleaded with me to cut out McDonald’s, milkshakes and other goodies, I really didn’t. My eating habits stayed pretty much the same and even took a big turn for the worse over Thanksgiving and Christmas. What I did do was stick to her workout regimen over the last few months and the results have been significantly positive despite the poor eating. I cut body fat and put on a noticeable amount of muscle. Most importantly, I am back enjoying working out and working out hard. I can’t thank Terri enough for the great job she has done for me. I would recommend giving her a try regardless of what level of fitness you are at.

I found my way to Terri by way of a short article about her that I read in a magazine. I wasn’t sure what to expect from an online experience of personal fitness training but decided to take the leap based on what I read. And, Terri definitely lived up to the recommendation!

Amazingly, working at a distance, via her website and emails, this personal training experience has been really pleasing and effective. Terri provides more than enough input and encouragement in such an upbeat way through our regular email contacts. Thank you, Terri, for your expertise and support!

My results were great from working out with Terri. I know I could not have lost so many inches on my own. I can’t believe, in 60 sessions, I lost an unbelievable 14 inches all over my body, that’s insane! Though I know all the techniques she has taught me, and I can do on my own, I think with Terri there keeping me motivated… it was a huge factor in my success.

My experience working with Terri was the best. She is so good at what she does and it shows not only on her body, but on her client’s bodies as well. Terri has a lot of energy and that makes the workout more fun. She has been doing this for such a long time, I’m minus 14 INCHES and that is what qualifies her as one of the best trainers ever. I have always considered myself healthy and “in shape”. Activeness and excercise have always been a part of my life, although not a focus.

As I am getting older I am finding my life full of responsibility and without noticing, the activities that used to provide excercise for me have dissipated due to lack of time in the day. After realizing I was becoming a lazy, out of shape, sit behing the desk all day person I sought professional help… Enter: Terri, the trainer… although, I like to refer to her as the organizer. She explained how I can work out a simple program and spend less than an hour per day working out … and get great results. Well, I have been working with her for about three months now and she was right. :) One of the great things is how Terri understands that I am a baby at times … haha. Serioulsy though, there were a few excercises I was not very comfortable with due to an injury I had a few years ago … together, we figured out some new excercises I can use that have almost the same effect as the ones that were originally causing me problems. I was very happy to find this out since I first thought my only option was to not work that part of my body.

I think the best thing about Terri’s program is the availability … due to my shifting schedule I sometimes work out late at night … if I have a question and I know Terri is not available (in person) I turn to her website and research it for myself … so far I have answered all of my own questions within a few minutes. The information and diagrams are just perfect.

I have been training with Terri Walsh for over 5 years. I can honestly say that the quality of my life is better because of my work with her. She helps me stay strong and flexible, in good shape. I trust her to push me to my limits, knowing that my safety always comes first.

My passion is horses – my sport, horseback riding. I ride pain-free for two to four hours a week in Westchester. But what is most striking to me is that over the past 4 years I have been on 3 horseback riding safaris – 2 in Kenya and one in Rajasthan. We rode 5 to 6 hours a day – sometimes at great speed and sometimes over very rough terrain – in hot climates. I am always the oldest (I turned 60 this past month) and I never miss a beat. This past year the outfitter asked me how I stay in such great shape working a desk job in New York City. All I could answer is that most of the credit needed to go to my personal trainer, Terri Walsh.

TW Training, and Terri Walsh was a great experience for me. I learned new things about my body and the way it works. Terri was really flexible, tailoring the workout to my personal needs and goals. She was able to provide me with specific techniques to target my problem areas, while at the same time giving me an all around workout to keep my whole body tone.

In addition to the workout, Terri provided me with valuable diet and nutrition tips to improve my eating habits. All an all I give my experience with TW Training a 15 on a scale from 1 to 10. Thanks for everything Terri!!!

I honestly don’t know where to begin with regard to Terri. She is more than my trainer, she is a force of nature: a goddess. And let’s face it people, this girl is hot.

When I met Terri, I was in bad shape ­ for me. I had outgrown (and I don’t mean spiritually) my favorite jeans, and was struggling with my fat jeans. Prior to this, I had always had an easy time staying in shape, but faced with my seemingly expansive body, I fell into the traps that countless people do. It was like being in a different person’s body and having a different person’s outlook on life. It wasn’t pretty.

Anyway, I met Terri after taking one of her (former) classes at the gym. I had never taken a better class. Her energy was infectious and the workout was killer. And I had never had someone explain and emphasize technique the way she did. I fell in love.

I started training with her over 9 months ago, and I can honesly say that she has really changed my life. Not only do I have my body back, but I have created a lifestyle that I want to maintain. I am not saying that it is easy. It isn¹t. But that is why I love Terri. She doesn¹t pretend that there are any shortcuts. It is about showing up. And when I feel like I can¹t handle it or do it anymore, she is there ‹ with words of encouragement and inspiring me with to keep going, to not give up. Only a couple more to go…

I can’t tell you how I have changed… I could tell you that I used to struggle to do 15 pushups and now I can do 50… easy. I could tell you that her cardio warm-up used to kill me and now I can ride my bike for hours and love every minute of it. I could tell you that I used to dread auditions where I had to wear a bathing suit, etc and now it is just another audition, albeit one I have to shave for. I could tell you that I finally fit into my old jeans, but finally I feel so good about myself that it finally doesn’t matter.

I have learned so much from Terri ­ the obvious things… how to eat, how to work out but more importantly, how to do these things and live and enjoy life. It isn’t about making excuses, it is about making choices that you can live with, everyday. She has really changed my life. And if that doesn¹t convince you, just look at her she¹s hot!!!!

I started working out with Terri a little over a month ago and already feel amazing changes in my life. I came to her having not worked out in over a year and with very little endurance. I was both nervous and skeptical, hesitant to believe that working out could become something that I would enjoy, and something that I would be able to easily integrate into my life.

After the first three sessions, I literally began to feel pleasure in the experience and now I can’t wait for the next session to begin. There is absolutely no dread involved! Terri puts you at ease, allows you to believe in yourself, and shows you the way and makes it enjoyable.

As owner of a clothing line, I need to look great! She is, of course, in amazing shape, which serves as even greater inspiration.

I began working out with Terri, because I had hit a plateau with my old training regime. I was frustrated with the same old, same old of lifting weights two to three times a week,going on the treadmill or elliptical four times a week, and being on a “diet” that was doing nothing but making me feel bad about myself.

Since beginning in May 2004, working out with Terri twice a week and following her advice when it came to eating I have gotten off the ‘dieter head’ and been able to lose over 11.75 inches from every part of my body while gaining muscle, tone and definition. I love a trainer who tells you that eating is important!

She recently added the ThinkFIT Online Training Admin which is great. I use that for my workouts on my own, tracking my food, and Terri keeps my workouts updated weekly – EVEN WHEN I’M AWAY. I can always log-in, get my workout and keep myself on track, even when my schedule gets crazy.

I’ve been able to learn to do exercises that I never thought I would ever be able to do such as using the spinning bike, boxing exercises, crunches and push-ups. Working out with Terri is never dull; she constantly challenges me and she changes my routine so that my body works to its fullest potential each time without losing the impact of the workout and with consistantly progressing levels in strength, agility, endurance and tone.

For anyone considering beginning to work out with Terri and wondering if it will all be worth it, it is. 11 months ago I began working with Terri, following her exercise program and making adjustments to what I ate. As a female over the age of 40 I was hopeful that I would see changes in my body, stamina and overall health, but I was not holding out a lot of hope. I’ve been overweight all of my life and I had never been able to get past a general level of fitness meaning I could be on the elliptical for 30 minutes, but a spin class was not happening. When I began working with Terri I considered the spinning bike the evil demon of exercise equipment and when she told me that I would be doing push-ups I laughed. What I did not do was give up.

Here’s the end result, I’m moving from NYC and so I had my last in-person session with Terri the other day. At that session I got on the spin bike and greeted my uphill intervals like it was an old friend, I did 100 push-ups all at once, 100 bicycle and 100 regular crunches all at once along with a shoulder raises and pull overs. If that wasn’t enough we took my final measurements. For someone my age to lose inches over every part of my body is incredible.

I’ve lost everywhere from my back, a lot in my waist, thighs, and upper arms. I even lost inches off my calves. Who knew you could do that? The most important thing that I’m taking away from my in-person sessions is the knowledge that no matter what went on in the past I can change how I will look and feel in the future. Making the commitment to work with Terri for a year took money and perseverance, but in the end it truly was worth it. I’m confident that with what I learned from my in-person sessions and continuing to do the on-line workouts that I will continue to make progress in my fitness levels. I have learned the skills and techniques that I’ll need to continue being fit and healthy and that is because of working with Terri.

We always joke about the fact that what we do together is “emotional training”. As her client for the past six months, I have learned how to apply body work into mental work, therefore changing the way in which I am in the world. It has not always been easy for me since a great deal had to be “un”learned.

As women we have certain myths and untruths ingrained as to how to lose weight and be healthy. Terri helps you learn the most successful, beneficial and spiritual ways to permanent fitness. Plus, she is extremely wise beyond words and always has great advice to offer should you need it.

I consider it a true blessing that I met Terri and have been able to work closely with her over the past months. She is a strong woman who cares very deeply for her clients. Working with Terri since September 2004, has been an incredible experience and not just because I can now do 3 sets of 20 “legitimate push-ups” and want to wear tank tops to show off my hard-work! First, Terri is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of fitness and her “holistic” approach, for lack of a better term, to working out is exactly what I was looking for.

She caters her workouts to meet my long-term goals, but she is also aware of what to tweak on certain days because she takes the time to listen to what’s going on in my life (ie, if I have worked an extensive work week, she won’t push me to the max knowing that I may get sick or injured – trust me, she’s not cutting me slack… just looking at the big picture).

Second, Terri has an amazing personality. In fact, even though I am working incredibly hard during my sessions, I really enjoying talking to Terri about life in general and I always come out of the workout with learning more than I expected. That said, and in all seriousness, she’s had a lot of experience and has an extremely good perspective on things.

Last, but not least, the way Terri takes care of herself is inspirational in itself. Not to be superficial, but to say that I haven’t noticed how buff and young Terri looks would be lying!!! (She’s 41!) Even more impressive, is that she has achieved this through hard work, dedication, and healthy eating.

All in all, I highly recommend you hire Terri as your personal trainer, as you will not only get “guns”, but also have a great time doing pushups, hanging out, and most importantly, learning how to properly do the exercises she teaches you, maximizing your potential, and realizing that healthy living reaps more than just outward benefits.

I am not someone who has ever been able to motivate when it comes to working out. So Terri really had her job cut out for her. Getting me to work out on my own on the days I wasn’t meeting with her was a struggle, but despite my laziness, I STILL managed to lose 2 inches off each thigh, and 1 inch off my waist in under 20 sessions!

And believe it or not, I have finally learned to enjoy working out. Last week, I worked out 5 days – 2 days with Terri, 3 on my own. I’m as surprised as you are. But Terri’s regimen wasn’t unattainable. It was perfectly designed to get me in shape without triggering the “I can’t do this, it’s too hard and I hate it” response. Now I feel guilty any day I don’t go to the gym.

And I just might go to the beach this year without my tanktop on.

When I first started with Terri, I thought fitness was about being thin. I realized very quickly that being thin didn’t make you fit.

I could barely do a push up at my first session with Terri. I was weak in my upper body and had a hard time with weights. But Terri kept pushing me and never let me give up. She helped transform my body into a strong machine. I never knew my body was capable of being so strong. Now I truely know the meaning of being fit. It’s being able to do those push ups and sit ups but more importantly being able to take that strength I have gained and use it in other activities that challange me.

Terri has a great ability to push you to your max. To make you see what you are capable of. She not only transforms your body but also your mind. She changed the way I see myself and improved my confidence.
