Active Resistance Training® creator Terri Walsh fuses core-focused three-dimensional bodyweight flows with asymmetrically weighted and unweighted training sequences. The signature use of 2 foam yoga blocks creates a challenging and unique calorie-torching non-destructive intensity called ‘active resistance’.
A.R.T. Fundamentals – All Levels
What is it?
This is a ‘getting to know you’ level 60 minute Active Resistance Training® full-body workout.
What will I do?
In this class you’ll learn how to do the work of finding engaging and maintaining the ‘active resistance’. This class will train you and set you up for success in the more intense int/adv A.R.T. classes.
Who should take it?
Good for those new to the A.R.T. Method, those short on time, those getting started on a fitness journey, those coming back from an injury, those that want a workout that leaves you feeling refreshed and lengthened, or those that just want the space to find ‘the depth of the work’.
What equipment do I need?
You’ll need a mat and two foam yoga blocks, and a sturdy chair. If you don’t have blocks, no worries – you can still do the class. See you on the mat!
