Hi! I’m Personal Trainer Terri Walsh, creator of the Active Resistance Training® Method, and I’ve been a celebrity Trainer and a 35 year veteran of the fitness industry in NYC. I now provide online personal training and Livestream fitness classes exclusively since my move to Costa Rica in 2014.

I was the first Creative Director of Programming at Crunch Fitness and I also headlined five different shows on Crunch Fitness’ ESPN2 including “Washboard Abs” videos. I created the Yoga Block Workouts which were featured in Self, Women’s Health, Shape, Crunch Gyms, and many more. I’m an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Nutrition Specialist. As a 58-year-old woman, I understand the challenges that we face as we head into middle age. Dealing with menopausal or post-menopausal changes can be frustrating and disheartening. It’s challenging when you may already eat well and exercise and nothing you used to do works anymore.

Conflicting Info!

You may be overwhelmed by younger trainers out there that are telling you you aren’t training hard enough, or that keto, paleo, fasting, or vegan is THE WAY or that their magic ‘hormone balancing’ program is simple and easy.

Well-Meaning But Clueless

Many are well-meaning, but unfortunately, they have NO CLUE how tough this stage of life can be. I’m here to tell you that you need a healthy diet and you need to exercise: OF COURSE YOU DO. But you know that. What we don’t know is how the depletion of estrogen is affecting YOU. It hits us all somewhat differently. We need to figure out YOU and YOUR BODY.

I understand the changes and have navigated through them and will help you find the new rhythm with your body.

Online Personal Training via Zoom

Private training sessions via zoom are private, convenient, and customized just for you. Therefore, I will not send you a boilerplate pdf. Instead, I create a program on you, about you, that works for YOU.

We meet face to face via zoom for hour-long sessions a minimum of 2x/weekly, and you’ll commit to 2 other workouts per week of your choice of activities. You also have access to all my online fitness content and my Livestream classes.

Fitness Assessment

We’ll do a thorough fitness assessment to understand where you are, how you got there, and where you want to go.

Modalities

We’ll use endurance, flexibility, weight training, barre, pilates, mobility, bodyweight, yoga, and strength training in varying combinations to get you healthy, energetic, rejuvenated and glowing.

Nutrition, Tracking & Accountability

We’ll work closely on your nutrition and meal planning. You can choose how much oversight you need. Maybe early on, you need to text me pics of your meals so you can stay accountable for your choices? No problem. As you gain confidence and competence, we can refine accountability. It’s up to you to choose how much or how little accountability you need. Customized private training allows us to work in a way that works for you. You will not feel processed through a system.

We can track results weekly, and you’ll learn how to understand your body’s cues and clues. We can use a fitness tracker to show where, when, and how your workouts are effective or need adjusting. Or maybe you don’t want to track. I’ve been a personal trainer for 35 years, since before these things were available. So I know what to do to track your progress manually.

The point is, custom means just that: CUSTOM.

The minimum required sessions: 20 sessions.
